Colleen Curlee

Graveside service for Ruth Colleen Curlee, 89, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, Mar. 17, 2016 in the Rio Vista Cemetery. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Ruth Colleen Curlee passed away Tuesday, Mar. 15, 2016 in Cleburne. She was born Sept. 22, 1926 in Highland (Goatneck) to Preston Oliver and Ruby Irene Walton Johnson. She married Homer Lewis Curlee on Oct. 6, 1945.

Mrs. Curlee was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the Elks Lodge in Cleburne.

Survivors include her son, Larry Curlee and wife Carol of Joshua; grandchildren who called her “Ene”, David Curlee of Meridian, Greg Curlee and wife Kim of Lubbock, Marcy Hicks and husband Trevor of Montgomery; brothers, Kenneth Johnson and wife Carol and Bernis Johnson, all of Cleburne; great grandchildren, Jessie and Stacy Curlee of Meridian, Dylan and Ashlyn Hicks of Montgomery and Abby Curlee of Lubbock; sister-in-law, Pauline Gordon of Cleburne; and brothers-in-law, Odie and Curtis Curlee of Cleburne. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 62 years, Homer; daughter, Brenda Ruth Curlee and one brother, Donnie Johnson.
