Cora Carper

Cora B Leverett Carper went to be with her Lord on February 15, 2008. She was born February 16, 1922 in Jewett, TX; the daughter of Travis and Alma (Brachwitz) Leverett. She married Cecil Clayton Carper on August 23, 1940 who preceded her in death on October 8, 2007. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rio Vista. Cora spent most of her working career in the linen department at Johnson County Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include her children: Barbara Pugh, Rio Vista; John Carper and wife Peggy, Rio Vista; Janie Junge and husband Glenn, Cleburne; Betty Curtis and husband Brady, Arlington; Doris Stout and husband John, Rio Vista; Grandchildren: Clayton and Leta Pugh, Tina and Frank Cox, Robert and Rachel Pugh, Sherry and Steve Murdock, Gary and Kelly Carper, David and Staci Junge, Annell and Richard Russell, Curtis Junge, Corrie Junge, Brandon Curtis, and Brianna Curtis; Great Grandchildren: Jessica, Vanessa, Michael, Emily, and Sarah Pugh; Eric and Nathan Abbott; J.D. and Jacob Glass; Megan and Lucas Murdock; Jana and Jason Vanlandingham; Shelby, Reilly, Baillie, and Jared Junge; Tommy, Kolby and Kasey Russell; Great-Great Grandchildren: Jansen and Justyce Vanlandingham; Brothers: Louis Leverett , J.A. "Bud" Leverett, and sister Sis Emery.

She was preceded in death by her brother: Gus Leverett, and sisters Lorene Brown, Annie Mae Smith, Ida Mae Leverett, and Myrtle Thagard, and son-in-law Albert Pugh.
