Services for Corbie Laverne Crocker Johnson, 83, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Michael Crocker will officiate. Burial will be in Godley Cemetery.

Corbie Laverne Crocker Johnson passed away Friday, July 4, 2008 in Cleburne. She was born July 15, 1924 in Johnson County, TX to Corbie Sherwood and Lou Bertie Simmons Crocker. She married James Murlin Johnson on November 11, 1943 in Johnson County, TX.

Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was a national life member of PTA.

Corbie Johnson is survived by her son, Jay Johnson and wife Sharla of Godley; granddaughters, Nikki and Kayla Johnson of Godley; brother, Don Sherwood Crocker and wife, Ann Collins Crocker of Granbury and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Murlin Johnson on March 15, 2008; her parents and three sisters.
