A private graveside service for Corilee Gardner, 87, of Arlington, formerly of Grandview will be held on Monday, November 9, 2015 in Grandview. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Adam Steelhammer, Jacob Williamson, Jason Whitt, Colton Williams, Hunter Williams, and Nolan Williams. Honorary pallbearer will be granddaughter, Cori Gardner. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Corilee Gardner passed away Friday, Nov. 6, 2015 in Mansfield. She was born Nov. 8, 1927 in Houston to John Nicholas and Velma Etta Stuart Peacock. She married Fred T. Gardner on April 22, 1945 in Houston and he preceded her in death in Jan. of 1992.
Mrs. Gardner was a homemaker and a storekeeper. She owned and operated the Sand Flat Country Store for a number of years. She was a member of The Church on Rush Creek in Arlington. Corilee will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children, Pat Steelhammer and husband Jerry Richardson of Palestine, Teresa Williamson and husband Charlie of Arlington, Carl Gardner of Arlington, Jennifer Williams and husband Walt of Mansfield; son-in-law, Danny Whitt and wife Chris of Ft. Worth; grandchildren, Adam Steelhammer and wife Steffanie , Jason Whitt and wife Maggie, Natalie Ghazel and husband Matt, Jacob Williamson and wife Melissa, Colton Williams, Hunter Williams, Cori Gardner, and Nolan Williams; great grandchildren, Halle, Tober, Henry, Darby, Camille, and Taylor; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Sharon Whitt; son, Ed Singletary; son-in-law, Don Steelhammer; two sisters; and five brothers.
