Services for Craig Thomas, 48, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, September 11, 2021, in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial to follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday, September 10, 2021, at the funeral home.
Craig passed away Monday, September 6, 2021, in Fort Worth. He was born November 10, 1972, in Jacksonville, Texas. Craig married Roxanne Carlock on May 9, 2003, in Fort Worth. Craig enjoyed rock crawling in his jeep with his wife at his side. They made many long-term friendships with fellow rock crawlers through the years. He was a hard worker, having worked as a wrecker driver and later pest control technician for many years in the Cleburne area. He is known for his genuine spirit, contagious smile, and big heart. Craig was a family man and becoming “Papa” was one of the highlights of his life. Craig was bigger than life and left a lasting mark on everyone who met him. He will forever be remembered and missed greatly.
Craig is survived by his wife, Roxanne; parents, Kay Helms and husband, Danny, Terry Thomas and wife, Donna; mother-in-law, Connie Carlock; children, Halston Spohn and Haleigh West, and Faith Spohn; grandchildren, Maddox, Bowen and Sawyer; grandmother, Peggy Pace “Nanny”; siblings, Cody Helms and wife, Victoria, Zach Thomas, and Taylor Sewell; brothers-in-law, Matt Carlock, Brian Carlock, and Brandon Carlock and wife, Stephanie; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Oscar Carlock; grandfather, Ray Pace; grandparents, W.J. and Thelma Thomas; and uncle, Kelly Pace.
