Service for Curtis Lee Curlee, 91, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 28, 2023 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Burial will follow in Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, March 27, 2023 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Don Curlee, Jimmy Curlee, Kenny Curlee, Kevin Curlee, Rick Curlee, and Thomas David Curlee “Goober”.
Mr. Curlee passed away March 24, 2023 in Cleburne. He was born October 2, 1931 in Rio Vista to Robert Lee and Mary Ann Bilton Curlee. He married Margie Lu McElroy on May 25, 1973 in Cleburne. She preceded him in death in 2014. Mr. Curlee retired from Santa Fe Railroad after 30 years of service. Named “Master of Ceremony” he was often found at the center of events. He was a people person and everyone loved him. He enjoyed woodworking and then Margie would paint his creations. Mr. Curlee was a member of North Cleburne Baptist Church where he was a deacon and trustee. His faith was strong and he was dedicated to his Lord. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Mr. Curlee is survived by his children, Curtis “David” Curlee, Shelly Rodriguez (Rick), Larry Combs (Sue) and Bobby Combs; grandchildren, Christian Combs and Lori Boggs; several great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family members and friends.
Mr. Curlee is preceded in death by his, parents; wife; infant daughter, Susan Dianne Curlee and 10 siblings.
The family would like to thank all the staff and residents of Ridgeview Nursing Home for the care and love they gave to Mr. Curlee.
