Curtis Underwood

A Memorial Service for Curtis Underwood, 84, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2008 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Dr. Joe Stephens will officiate.

Curtis Underwood passed away Monday, March 31, 2008 in Ft. Worth. He was born September 3, 1923 in Cleburne, TX to John and Ethel Underwood. He married Stella Mae Moore.

Mr. Underwood served in the U.S. Navy during WW II and retired as owner of Underwood Paint and Body Shop in Alvarado. He was a member of the Alvarado American Legion and V.F.W.

Curtis Underwood is survived by his daughter, Carol Allen of California; son, Brian Underwood of Wichita Falls, TX; daughter-in-law, Rickie Robinson of Cleburne; three step-daughters, Eunice Wohlferd of Cleburne, Beas Abbott of Burleson and Barbara Vedder of Cleburne; caretaker, Shirley Clark of Cleburne; seven grandchildren, Lesa, Lloyd, Brett, Shelley, Amy, Brandi and Christy; eleven great-grandchildren, Sonni, Maressa, Noelle, Macy, Luke, Cole, Peyton, Grayson, Blaine, Joley and Cale. He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Underwood, January 26, 2001; grandson, Tommy Robinson; brothers, Clarence, Bill and J.W. and sister, Margauret.
