Cynthia Angela Carpenter

Cynthia Angela Carpenter (née Martinez) was born on August 31, 1968 in Twenty-Nine Palms, California and passed away at home on March 10, 2025 in Keene, Texas at the age of 56. The beloved daughter "Cissy" of Hilda Brintle and Juan P. Martinez, Jr.

Cindy was a devoted mother to Alec Martinez (36), Valerie Trice (20), Alexia Savage (20), and Jacob Mosby (16). Her children meant the world to Cindy and she willingly sacrificed and struggled to provide for them.

Cindy was immensely proud of all of her children and they were the source of her greatest joy in life.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Jeremy Carpenter, who considers her the love of his life.

Cindy graduated from Crowley High School in 1987. She went on to study Spirituality as well as Graphic Design. As a lover of color and visual arts, Cindy had recently embraced her talent for creating meaningful and beautiful works of art.

Life proved difficult for Cindy in many ways, yet her gregarious nature and love of laughter permeated even the hardest times. Cindy loved with her entire self and those she loved knew it.

She was a constant caregiver and companion, especially to her mother, Hilda, and she yearned to find true, unconditional love. She finally found that love in Jeremy, to whom her family will be ever grateful for the joy he brought to Cindy's life. Their time together was far too short.

Cynthia is survived by all four of her beautiful children, both parents, as well as three siblings: Rebecca Obenhaus, Brian Brintle, and Mel Martinez.

Additionally, she found great joy in the relationship with and music of her niece, Morgan Obenhaus.

Cindy's personality and presence filled every room. She will be deeply missed among all who knew her.

"Cindy Angel" will be laid to rest on March 16th at 2PM at Keene Memorial Park Cemetery. Her family and friends are invited to a reception and celebration of all that was wonderful about Cindy, to follow immediately.

Rest now, good and loving servant-friend, and know you are loved.
