Grandview – Cynthia Diane Marti Applegate passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018
Funeral: 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel, 512 N. Ridgeway Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033. Officiating will be Chaplain Eddy Carrell
Visitation: The family will receive visitors on Monday, December 17th from 6 to 8 pm at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home


Diane was born August 26, 1958 in Fort Worth to Paul Alton and Cynthia Ann Marti. She met the love of her life, John Lewis Applegate, Jr. on a blind date and married him 6 weeks later on December 17, 1977. She held many careers throughout her life but her most beloved job was keeping her grandchildren. She loved to travel, spoil her loved ones and most recently, took up quilting.
Diane was preceded in death by her mother Cynthia Ann Marti.

Survivors: Diane is survived by her husband, John Lewis Applegate, Jr.; daughter, Shauna Ford and husband, John; daughter, Jessica Applegate; grandchildren, “Tre” and Declan Ford; father, Paul Marti Sr.; sister, Donna Phillips; brother, Paul Marti, Jr. and wife, Phyllis; sister, Paula Patton and husband, Billy; brother, David Marti. Diane is also survived by her “adopted” grandchild, Dawson Clayton, numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.
