Grandview – Cynthia Ann McDonald Marti passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones.
Funeral: Crosier-Pearson Funeral Home, 512 N. Ridgeway Dr., Cleburne, TX 76033. Officiating will be Chaplain Eddy Carrell
Visitation: The family will receive visitors on Sunday, March 18th from 4 to 6 pm at Crosier-Pearson Funeral Home.
Burial: Covington Cemetery, TX
Cynthia was born June 4, 1942 in Cleburne, TX to Earl B. and Lizzie Belle McDonald. She was a city girl who fell in love with her country boy blind date named Paul A. Marti, Sr. Cynthia and Paul Marti, Sr., married on August 12, 1957.
Cynthia was a stay at home mom until their children grew up. She then went to nursing school and retired after more than 40 years of nursing. Cynthia enjoyed cooking, crocheting and painting. She could whip up a pound cake and deliver it to you while it was warm from the oven. She loved to travel and was packed and ready to go before anyone else in the group even with her snack bag in hand. She never missed a trip when someone mentioned going to a casino.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her parents, Earl McDonald and Lizzie Belle “Elizabeth” Roye; and her sister and best friend, Patsy Jean Briscoe.
Survivors: Cynthia is survived by her husband, Paul Marti, Sr.; daughter, Diane Applegate and husband, John; daughter, Donna Phillips; son, Paul Marti, Jr. and wife, Phyllis; daughter, Paula Patton and husband, Billy; son, David Marti; 7 grandchildren, Shauna, Jessica, Stefanie, Andrew, Adam, Aaron, and Mark; 8 great-grandchildren, Presley, Rian, Chloe, Logan, Robert, Tayte, John “Tre” and DeClan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Cynthia is also survived by four sisters, Paula White and husband Ed; Nancy Bergman and husband, Danny; Vicki Roye; Montez Upchurch and husband Jerry; and a longtime family friend, Katherine “Martha” Martin.
