Cynthia Ann Hines McNeel, 83, lifelong resident of Cleburne, passed away on Saturday, May 8, 2021 in Cleburne. Cynthia was born September 6, 1937 in Cleburne to Finis Clinton and Flora Carline Neal Hines. She was a 1955 graduate of Cleburne High School. She was a Registered Nurse (BSN) of 23 years, serving at Cleburne Memorial, Huguley, and All Saints Hospitals. She married the love of her life, Raymond Wallace McNeel, September 30, 1955 in Cleburne. Cynthia was a devoted wife and loving mother, blessed with a legacy of five generations. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of Field Street Baptist Church and First Baptist Church at the same time. She loved deeply and left an everlasting mark on the countless lives that she touched. Her strong will and independent spirit will be missed greatly, but especially her laughter. She is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond McNeel; father, Finis Hines; mother and step father, Carline and Dennis Post; sisters, Jeannine Everett and Shirley Hines; and grandsons, David Lee Eager and Michael Tanner Kennedy.
Survivors include her children, Toi McNeel of Cleburne, Kelli Eager and husband, Lonnie of Burleson, Tahlia Farmer and husband, Russell of Cleburne, Shawn McNeel of Fort Worth, and Shane McNeel and wife, Brandi of Cleburne; grandchildren, Nicole Simpkins and husband, Bill of San Angelo, Lacie Tiwater of Burleson, Lachelle Gutierrez and husband, Jesse of Liberty Hill, Cory Farmer of Bryson, Shawna Rubalcaba and husband, John Paul of Fort Worth, Tagg McNeel and wife, Elaina of Fort Worth, KaeLee Skinner and husband, Hayden of Fort Worth, Brach Farmer of Cleburne, Bailey Kennedy of Burleson and Mattie Kennedy of Burleson; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and 1 on the way; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Glover officiating. Interment will follow in the Rosehill Cemetery, Cleburne. Tagg McNeel, Brach Farmer, Tate McCall, Bill Simpkins, Jesse Gutierrez, John Paul Rubalcaba, Hayden Skinner and Rayne McNeel will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.
