Cynthia Richardson

June 29, 1943 — April 26, 2014

Cynthia Richardson

Cynthia Ann Richardson was the ultimate southern lady: quiet, soft spoken, gentle, and unassuming, with a backbone of steel. Loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, she was a Christian woman in every sense of the word. Cynthia lost her long battle with cancer as she had lived - quietly, privately, with great courage, faith, and dignity.

Born June 29th, 1943, in Paris, Texas to Garlon and Catherine Allen, Cynthia grew up in Grand Prairie, Texas. She attended Grand Prairie schools, graduated from Arlington High School, and later attended Bible Baptist Seminary. She married the love of her life, Aubrey Richardson, in 1959. Always happy to serve the Lord, she worked in the World Baptist Fellowship Mission Office while her husband was in seminary and later served as a church secretary at Temple Baptist Church.

Cynthia loved to travel and she and her husband developed a special love for Israel where they lived for 7 years as Aubrey worked with the Israelis as an F-16 engineer for Lockheed Martin. They also went to Taiwan in the same capacity.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Aubrey, a son, Aubrey and wife Jada Richardson of Mansfield; five grandchildren: Brittany Whitehead of Arlington, Alex Richardson of Galveston, Aaron and Ashley Richardson and Blake Richardson, all of Mansfield, and one great grandson, William Whitehead. She is also survived by her sister, Lynda Thomas of McKinney, and two brothers: Robert Allen and wife Debbie of Euless, and Adrian Allen and wife, Sheila of Cottonwood, along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.

Graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in the Blum Cemetery.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 P.M., Sunday, May 4, 2014 at the Messiah Baptist Church, 7101 Baker Blvd., Richland Hills, TX 76118.
