Service for Cindy Taylor, 63, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 9, 2012 in the Church of the Holy Comforter, 209 E. Wardville. Fa. Jonathan Duncan will officiate. Entombment will be at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 10, 2012 in the Forest Park Cemetery Westheimer in Houston. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Ms. Taylor passed away Friday, May 4, 2012 in Ft. Worth. She was born May 2, 1949 in Athens, TX to Captain William Walter, Jr. and Mary Louise McKinzie Taylor.
Cindy graduated from Athens High School and later attended both Henderson County Jr. College in Athens and El Centro College in Dallas. She was a 36 year member of Order of the Eastern Star, serving as past matron of no. 656 in Alvarado four times and at no. 343 in Rio Vista as well as vice president of the HB&T Club. She was a 25 year volunteer for Walls Hospital and past president of the Auxillary three times. Cindy also ran the Arthritis Support Group for 18 years and was a charter member of the Yellow Rose Court No. 4, Order of the Amaranth. She was a long-time member of the Church of the Holy Comforter. Her wonderful sense of humor and courageous spirit will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her many friends and extended family. Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Captain William Walter Taylor Jr.; mother, Mary Louise McKinzie Taylor King and one brother, Bill Taylor.
