Dale lived his first 40 years in his birthplace of Missoula, Montana and his last 46 years as a transplanted Texan. He lived his life to it's fullest, never one to let life pass him by.
Dale was a World War II veteran, a police officer, made lieutenant during his 14 years of service with the Missoula Fire Department and was very proud of being a polygraph examiner in his own business until he retired.
He had a joke or story to tell, with a twinkle in his eye, to anyone who would listen. He always laughed the loudest. He told his stories until he couldn't tell them anymore.
Dale is survived by his loving wife and constant companion, Naomi L. Johnson; 3 children, Dale L. Johnson, Lynda J. Pryce and Kristy J. Braidwood; 3 stepchildren, Donna Gornell, Gary Davis and Patricia Dugosh; 1 brother, Edward Johnson of Kallispell, Montana; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was also a father and grandfather figure to many others. Dale left an imprint on every person he knew. He was greatly loved and will be equally missed.
The family is very grateful to the wonderful people with Hospice and request that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to: Alpha Omega Hospice, PO Box 16241, Ft. Worth, TX 76161-2041
