Daniel Hardin

Daniel Vernon Hardin passed away Monday, January 30, 2006 in Cleburne. He was born May 6, 1926 in Pensacola, Florida to Samuel E. and Annie E. Boyd Hardin. He was married to Iris Ganell Parks.
Mr. Hardin was a mechanic who retired from Forrest Chev. after 30 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army from 1944-1946 and received an Asiatic-Pacific Theater Campaign Ribbon with one Bronze Star, a Good Conduct Medal, Army of Occupation Ribbon for service in Japan, Victory Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Award and three Overseas Service Bars. He was a member of the American Legion Post 648 in Rio Vista.
Daniel Vernon Hardin is survived by two sons, Roger Dale Hardin and wife Christy of Rio Vista and Daniel Vernon Hardin, Jr. of Rio Vista; two daughters, Lawana Beth Terry and husband Phillip of Rio Vista and Joann Elaine Inman of Rio Vista; eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren; three sisters, Mable Bigham of Cleburne, Dona Galowski and husband Percy of Cleburne and Mary Fowler and husband Charles Ray of Rio Vista; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his first wife of over 45 years Juanita White Hardin in 1992; two brothers, Eugene and J. P. Hardin; three sisters, Leah Jane Albright, Dora Lee Gee, and Cleo Gambrell.
