David Akey

Graveside service for David Akey, 71, of Cleburne will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, Nov. 16, 2015 at Baker Lain Cemetery. Pastor Cory Wynns will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Sunday, at the funeral home.
David Akey passed away Monday, Nov. 9, 2015 in Cleburne. He was born Jan. 24, 1944 in Cleburne to Rufus and Laverne Akey. He married Melody Woods on Sept. 11, 1990 in Cleburne.
Mr. Akey served his country proudly in the U. S. Air Force. He was a car salesman and was of the Christian faith. David will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Melody Akey of OK; daughter, Sheryl Lyles of Ft. Worth; sons, James Akey and Charles Akey, both of OK; four grandchildren; sister, Charlotte Harris of Texas; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
