Graveside services for David Lee Baxter, 53, of Cleburne will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Monday, September 27, 2010 in the Kimball Cemetery. The Reverend Clydell Robertson will officiate. Pallbearers will be Larry Rice, Larry Joe Baxter, Danny Rice, Mark McClain, Jerry Persons and Jessie Ramirez. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.

Mr. Baxter passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 in Fort Worth. He was born April 4, 1957 in Cleburne to James Andrew and Willie Mae Mathews Baxter. He married Nora Juanita Kent on January 30, 1994 in Cleburne.

David was a general construction contractor and was of the Baptist faith.

David Lee Baxter is survived by his wife, Nora Juanita Baxter of Cleburne; daughters, Jeanifer Baxter Woods and husband Rick, Janell Baxter and spouse Bryan Long, all of Joshua, Bobi Baxter of Burleson, Taylor Foote and Tricia Robinson, both of Cleburne; sons, David Baxter, Jr. and wife Stachia of Roanoake, Glenn Lathers, Jr. and wife Sheryl of Weatherford, Ken Lathers and wife Jennifer of Burleson and Christopher Lathers of Cleburne; 22 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Samuel "Sammy" Baxter and wife Mary of Alvarado; sister, Frances Woods and husband Bobby of Itasca and numerous, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Glenda Herriage; brother, Billy Baxter; son, James David Baxter and grandson, Talon James.
