David Brunson

Graveside service for David R. Brunson, 78, of Rio Vista, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Monday, July 6, 2020 at the funeral home.

David R. Brunson passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020 in Rio Vista. He was born August 6, 1941 in Hico, Texas to Dave and Ora (Bullard) Brunson. David married Juanelle Applegate on June 30, 1961 in Rio Vista. David was a hard worker, working as a machinist for the Santa Fe Railroad. He was very involved in his kid’s school activities and continued to do so with other students from Rio Vista School District. He was a dedicated fan that served on the school board for over 20 years. David had an endless amount of love and support to his family.

David is survived by his son, Scott Brunson; daughters, Tina Hundley and husband Doug and Debbie Brown and husband Marcus; grandchildren, Cory Hundley and wife Robin, Brody Hundley, Kyle Santiago and husband Alex; great-grandchildren, Bree Hundley, Brooks Hundley, Brazos Hundley and Olivia Santiago; brothers, Darwin Brunson, Melvin Brunson, Gary Brunson and sister, Molly Hestilow.

David is preceded in death by his wife, Juanelle Brunson; parents and sister, Orneal Hancock.
