David Earley

David Eugene (Gene) Earley, Sr. passed away, Sunday, September 20, 2009 in Stephenville. He was born to the late, Dave and Hattie Mae Earley on September 15, 1928 in Rio Vista. Gene was a lifelong resident of Rio Vista, a member of the Rio Vista Baptist Church and the American Legion. He retired as a Staff Sergeant with the United States Air Force after 21 years of service and having served during the Korean Conflict. Gene loved flying privately for many years. Gene's quiet nature and dry sense of humor will be greatly missed by all those that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Randy Anderson and Kenneth Earley; brothers and sisters, Franklin, Raymond, Earl, Ola Mae, Ruby, Winnie, and Lorene.
Survivors include his children, Belva Sublett, Christine Ellis, David Earley, Jr., and Carolyne McNatt; sister, Evelyn Teddlie; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, September 24, 2009 at Rio Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to services from 12:00-2:00 pm at the funeral home.
