Memorial services for Brother David Earl Golden, 57, best known as "GRUMPY", of Joshua, will be conducted at 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2009 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pastor Russ Weaver will officiate.
"GRUMPY" Golden passed away Friday, Dec. 18, 2009 in Joshua. He was born October 26, 1952 in Houston to Elmo D. and Mary W. Williamson Tucker.
He was a self employed taxidermist. He served proudly in the U.S. Marines and the U.S. Army and was a decorated soldier. He was a 32 degree Mason in the Ft. Worth Tabernacle #1195 of the Masonic Lodge and a lifetime member where he was also a Shriner.
"GRUMPY" Golden is survived by his sister, Carol Voges and husband William of Austin; brothers, Walter F. Golden and wife Rose of Camdin, N.C and Danny Golden of Austin; step-son, Mark Mc Carroll and wife Trang of Saginaw; three nephews, Patrick, Robert and Fred Golden.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmo D. Tucker; mother and adopted father, Mary W. and Walter S. Golden; maternal grandmother and two aunts.
