David Horton

Memorial Gathering for David Wayne Horton, 51, of Grandview, will be held at 4:00 P.M. at the Johnson County Sheriff Posse Building, No. 4, on Sunday, September 12, 2010.

Mr. Horton passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010 in Grandview. He was born to Henry Allen and Barbara Lanmon Horton on September 5, 1959 in Liberty, Texas. David worked as a pipe fitter with Crisp Ladew for over 30 years. He was a member of the #669 Sprinkler Fitters of America. He was an outdoorsman, especially enjoying hunting and fishing. David was a unique man, one that could build anything. He was a giver, often going out of his way to help others. David's love of the outdoors and jokester sense of humor will be missed greatly by all those that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Henry Horton.

Survivors include his son, Rylee Horton; brothers and sister, Garland Horton, Debra Diesslin and Kenneth Horton; nephews, Robert and John Horton; and a host of other relatives and friends.
