David passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024, in Cleburne. Born on July 27, 1944, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, he was a devoted member of the Catholic faith and proudly served his country as a United States Marine. Throughout his career as a motorcross track attendant, David was known not only for his work but also for his ability to engage others with his remarkable storytelling. An endearing figure to those who knew him, David's life was centered around his grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. Known for his excellent coffee-making skills, he was a loving father and cherished family member, embracing life with passion and authenticity. While David was known for his stubbornness, these traits only amplified the love and affection he had for his family. In his younger years, David was an accomplished bull rider, a testament to his adventurous spirit. His greatest pride was always his family, which he held dear throughout his life.
David is survived by his children, Loretta Bowman and her husband Carey, Paulette Mars, Hansel J. Matthews, and Jon Wolford; grandchildren, Joshua Magno, Kimberlina Merrifield, Larisa Torres, CadiLynn Krementz, Sarah Krementz, Zoey Krementz, and Andrea Krementz; great-grandchildren, Ophelia Torres and Za’mir Lewis; sister, Julie Mars; and his beloved dogs, Whiney and Babygirl.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Santinino Fred Magno and Josephina (Gonzales) Magno; and his brothers, Jerry Magno, Albert Magno, and Daniel Magno.
David's legacy of love and stories will continue to resonate within the hearts of his family and friends.
