Service for Reverend David Royal Ward, 73, of Fort Worth will be conducted at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Dustyn Royal Ward, Nicholas Countryman Hazelwood, Christopher Adam Hazelwood, Brandon Scott Hazelwood, Edwin Griffith Harding and Kenneth Wayne Baker. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 6-8:00 P.M., Monday, Sept. 4, and 9-11:00 A.M., Tuesday, Sept. 5th,, prior to the service. There will be a family fellowship after the burial at the Loving Avenue Baptist Church, 2808 Loving Ave., Ft. Worth, TX 76106
Reverend David Royal Ward passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in Ft. Worth. He was born Dec. 11, 1943 in Lawton, OK to Bailey Oscar and Lucy Mae Grimes Ward. He married Eva Jean Kelley on April 10, 1964 in Stillwater, OK and she preceded him in death on Aug. 4, 2010.
Mr. Ward was a pastor, a gospel singer and retired with 15 years of service in insurance. He was of the Independent Fundamental Baptist faith.
Survivors include his children, David Bailey Ward, Jason Royal Ward, Nancy Eileen Eligado and husband Dennis and Debra Dee Ann Eze; grandchildren, Nick, Dustyn and wife Selene, Chris, Kaylea, Brandon, and Caroline; great grandchild, Aiden; several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard Cleo and Calvin James Ward and sister, Faye Smith.
