Services for Reverend Delmar William Gregory, 82, of Cleburne will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, Oct. 24, 2005 in the Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Jim Barnes and Reverend Terry Finley will officiate. Dr. Joe Stephens will conduct the military honors. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Larry Hall, Darrell Godfrey, Scott Fowler, David Tribble, Chance Scarber, Robert Lopez and John Beauvais.
Reverend Gregory passed away Friday, Oct. 21, 2005 in Cleburne. He was born May 13, 1923 in Vinita, Oklahoma to William Davis and Goldie A. Christian Gregory. He married Hazel Odean Russell on Oct. 27, 1972 in Johnson County. He was a minister for 43 years and was the pastor of the Victory Baptist Church in Cleburne and was also employed by Rangaire for 14 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in WWII.
Reverend Gregory is survived by his wife, Hazel Gregory of Cleburne; 7 daughters, Janett Gregory of Cleburne, Sylvia Kay and husband Frank of Arlington, Gloria Jene Fox and husband David of Arlington, Donna Hall and husband Butch of Mesquite, Polly Swinney and husband Bobby of Kennedale, Debra Scarber and husband Earl of Cleburne and Bobby Lopez and husband Robert of Cleburne; 1 son, Charles William Gregory and wife Edna of Mesquite; 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren; sister, Joyce Feese and husband Mason of Kansas City, Kansas. He was preceded in death by 2 daughters, Frances Tribble and Judy Gregory and a great granddaughter, Amy Hall.
Visitaton will be from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday in the Cleburne Funeral Home.
