Delories Carter

Services for Delories Faye Carter, 64, of Copperas Cove, TX, will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 11, 2008 in the Bethel Salter AME Church, 106 Olive St., Cleburne, TX. Rev. John Warren will officiate. A private committal service will be held at a later date in Greenlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Carter, Alvin Carter, Jr., William Barron, Harold Barron, Ralph Perkins and Christopher Carter.

Delories Faye Carter passed away Sunday, July 6, 2008 in Killeen, TX. She was born April 28, 1944 in Ft. Worth, TX to Jesse Lee and Ella Louise Saunders Bowdy. She married Alvin Carter, Sr. on June 3, 1960 in Cleburne.

Mrs. Carter was a nurses' aide and of the Methodist faith.

Delories Carter is survived by her two sons, Alvin Carter, Jr. and wife, Jill of Virginia and MSG Robert Carter of Copperas Cove, TX; two sisters, Jesse Marie Barron of Hot Springs, Arkansas and Gloria Ann Slade of Hobbs, New Mexico; four grandchildren, Stephanie Carter, Jasmine Johnson, Christopher Carter and Shauntavia Carter and three great-grandchildren, Devon, Daquan and Yarie. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Carter, Sr. in May 1974; one son, Darrin Carter in 1991 and one granddaughter, Jonikka Johnson in 2000.
