Delta Schad

Our beloved Delta Estelle Schad went home to be with her Lord on June 23, 2020 at the age of 95. She was born near Brazos Point, TX on October 8, 1924 to Short and Lula Mears. She married Billie Gene Schad on February 2, 1948. They lived in Cleburne TX and raised six children before moving to Brownwood, TX in 1976. She was a beautiful, sweet, loving lady, super Mom and Memaw, loving daughter, sister, Aunt, cousin and friend as well as a business woman owning Delta’s Cakes and Catering for more than 30 years. She was known as the “pie lady”! She still baked until in her 80’s. Fantastic cook! After losing Bill in 1987 she moved to Keene, TX in 1988. She loved her family dearly and also loved to dance to country western music especially when her family was playing. She will be greatly missed by everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and children Robert, David and Leah Schad.
She is survived by daughter Candy Sandlin, daughter and son in-law Reba and Steve Adams, daughter Patricia Schad, son and daughter in-law Darryl Schad and Samantha Alexander and daughter in-law Diane Radetsky.
She was a special Memaw to Dustin Vestal, Amanda Sandlin, Kyle Sandlin, Chelsea Inderman, Jennifer Mayne, Chloe Schad and Sterling Alexander.
She was great grandmother to Dylan, Jaxon, Jimmy, Gracie, Hollis and Briar.
She is survived by her siblings and their spouses Lavada Moore, Arthur Mears, Walter and Jan Mears, Visie and Wando Scarberry, Jesse Mears and Kathryn and Jerry Roberts. She is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and their families. She is survived by her brother in-law F.A. Schad and their family.
We will miss you so much but we are so happy you are with Jesus and all of your loved ones in heaven. Now you can rest and have peace. We love you and will see you when we get there!
A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Rosehill Cemetery in Cleburne, TX .
