Service for Reverend Demetrius D. Warren, 57, of Pflugerville, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Cleburne Conference Center. Reverend Willie Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bro. Vincent Warren, Bro. Art Jarman, Rev. Steve Smith, Rev. Tarrenton Wise, Bro. Xavier Warren, Bro. Don Grover, Bro. Michael Fuller and Bro. Darrell Jimmerson. Honorary pallbearers will be Rev. Mason Rice Jr., Bro. Charles Johnson III, Bro. Don McNeil, Bro. Lyndon Overton, Bro. Charles Johnson Jr. and Bro. Oscar Chandler.
Reverend Demetrius D. Warren passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019 in Austin. He was born October 1, 1961 in Cleburne to Reverend John Edward and Delores Virginia (Johnson) Warren. Demetrius marred Nicole Bennett on August 3, 2016 in Fort Worth.
Demetrius graduated Cleburne High School in 1980. He attended TSTI Dental Lab Tech College in Waco for 3 years, Cedar Valley College for 3 years studying Law Enforcement. Demetrius obtained his Criminal Justice Masters degree in Security Management from the University of Phoenix. He retired from the City of Fort Worth after 30 years of service as a peace officer. For several years he was the Associate Pastor of Bethel Salter AME Church in Cleburne.
Demetrius is survived by his father, Reverend John Warren of Cleburne; wife, Judge Nicole Warren of Pflugerville; sons, Jonathan Warren of Austin, Talon Warren of Austin; stepchildren, Everett Webster of Pflugerville, Gabrielle Webster of Pflugerville; grandchildren, Bryson Warren of Austin, Talon Warren Jr. of Austin; brothers, Vincent Warren of Fort Worth, Xavier Warren and wife Traci of The Colony; sisters, Lynnera Warren of Cleburne and Dionne Warren of Grand Prairie. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother on September 6, 2011
