Service for Derek J. Blevins, 50, of Grandview will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Mr. Buddy Fry and Pastor Jacky Mears will officiate. Burial will be in Sand Flat Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rodney Fowler, Maxie Fowler Jr., Joey Fowler, David Welty, B.J. Fowler, and Brad Fowler.
Derek J. Blevins passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born January 30, 1967 in Grapevine.
Mr. Blevins worked as a trucking manager and supervisor in Indiana. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church of Grapevine.
Survivors include his parents, Maxie Gene and Neta Faye Brown Fowler of Grandview; brothers, Maxie Fowler, Jr. and wife Michelle and Rodney Fowler and wife Melinda; several nieces and nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Billy Blevins; maternal grandparents, Granvil Brown and Faye Kilpatrick and paternal grandparents, Elmer Lee and Roxie Blevins and Nanny Fowler.
