Dixie Phillips

Service for Dixie Kay Vaughan Phillips, 76, of San Antonio, will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Graveside service will be at 2:00 P.M. in the Laurel Land Memorial Park in Ft. Worth. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Friday, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Phillips passed away Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013 in San Antonio. She was born Feb. 17, 1937 in Cleburne to William Daniel and Winnie Pearl Hanna Vaughan. She married Raymond Lee Phillips on March 25, 1955 in Cleburne.

Mrs. Phillips was a retired meat wrapper and a beautician. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church in Cleburne. She loved to read and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 8541 in San Antonio.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Kay Teat and husband Clarence; son, Rodney Phillips and wife Marian; grandchildren, Ryan Phillips and wife Meagan; Danielle Teat, Christina Teat, Preston Phillips and Jessica Teat; great grandchildren, Riley Lucas Phillips, Abby Ruth Phillips, Charlotte Mae Phillips; and one sister, Nelda Vaughan Honea. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Winnie Vaughan; husband, Raymond Lee Phillips; sisters, Lena Louise Vaughan Lee, Josephine Vaughan and Winnie Neoma Vaughan Maples; and brothers, William Carl Vaughan and Charlie Hilton Vaughan.
