Dollie Kerr

Service for Dollie Lucille Kerr, 90, of Burleson, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 27, 2010 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Pallbearers will be Jay Mohler, Justin McKnight, Cody Templeton, Monty Grigsby, Truitt Ownbey and Kenneth Ownbey. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Sunday, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kerr passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2010 in Fort Worth. She was born May 11, 1920 in Concho County, TX to Thomas Ross and Cora Ellen Bridges Turner. She married Allen Ray Kerr on December 31, 1938 in Melvin, TX.

Dollie was a homemaker and a member of Henderson Street Baptist Church. She was a witty lady who enjoyed crafts, especially plastic canvas. Nanny collected sock monkeys. She lived for the day that she would be able to see her husband and children again.

Dollie is survived by her daughter, Beckie Carter; son, Woody Kerr and wife Dee; daughter in law, Glenna Kerr; grandsons, Terry Ownbey, B.J. Kerr, James Kerr, James Woody Kerr Jr. and Donald Carter; granddaughters, Truetta Webb, Felecia Rodriguez, Katy and Abby Kerr, Alicia Tiwater and Kaylynn Kerr; 17 great grandchildren; one great great grandson. Dollie was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Ross and Cora Ellen Turner; husband, Allen Ray Kerr; son, Billy Ray Kerr; daughter, Doris Jean Ownbey and grandson, Billy Wayne Kerr.
