Dolores Bowden

Service for Dolores Bowden, 86, of Godley will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 31, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Godley. Burial will follow in Godley Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7:00 P.M., Sunday, October 30, 2022 at the funeral home.

Dolores passed away October 25, 2022 in Fort Worth. She was born February 26, 1936 in Cleburne to W.L. “Boss” and Mamie Jewell Houghton Hadley. Dolores married John Edd Bowden on December 25, 1957 in Godley. He preceded her in death. She worked for Lockheed Martin for over 20 years. Dolores loved doing word searches and checking on the people of Godley. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Godley and loved Southern Gospel music. Dolores will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Dolores is survived by her son, Lamar Bowden of Burleson; granddaughter Brooke Roamell and husband, Eric of Godley; great-grandchildren, Katelynn Bertram and husband, Will, Braxton Roamell and Zegan Roamell; sisters, Doris Moore, Greta Summerhill, and Mertie Morris.
