Mrs. Pallasa passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013 in the Philippines. She was born January 23, 1910 in the Philippines.
Dolores Savedia Pallasa was born on January 23, 1910 in Iloilo City, Philippines among the two children of Alejandro and Angela Savedia, a well loved and respected family of the Community and of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Dolores was a church school teacher for several years and was married to the late Isaias Damascu Pallasa of Pototan, Illoilo, Philippines. Isaias was a salesman and a deeply religious man, a strong leader and a loving husband to Dolores. The devoted couple was blessed with nine lovely children and they supported, took care and love their children unconditionally and they sent them all to Christian Schools, where they embraced the moral and Christian values until they were all independent and stable in all aspects of life.
Dolores husband died last 1988 and was buried at the Keene Cemetery. With prayer and the word of God, as her shield and strength she continued on faithfully witnessing for the Lord until the finish line.
As an ideal mother and grandmother, she continued to be an inspiration in their everyday life until God allowed Dolores to rest in Jesus last January 15.
She is preceded in death by her husband Isaias, her son Nelson, her daughter Norma and her son-in-law Gullermo.
This Sunday she will be laid to rest in her temporary resting place to await the trumpet call of the Lifegiver. Left to cherish her memories are her children: Isaias, Thelma, Willie, Myrna, Jimmy, Esther, and Henry. Children-in-laws, Rey, Melinda, Ephenita, Ricardo Jun and Evangeline. Her grandchildren-Rachel, Jerry, Joel, Alex, Larry, Ruth, Rebecca, Danilo, Cherry Lyn, Jomari, Myrtle, Gopher, Nelson Eddie, Noralyn, Ivan, Ira, Hurtwell, HazelMae, Willie Jr., Reginald Earl, Merryl Chant, Jiephen, Jiji, Myphen, Robert, Richard, Melanie and Brian and with her 18 grandchildren-in-laws, 38 great grandchildren and 7 great, great grandchildren.
Dolores has lived a long, good, godly and dedicated life to her Heavenly Father and to her family and friends. She took comfort often in the knowledge that the perils of a journey on earth will be nothing compared to the glories of heaven. Her sojourn was that of a traveling foreigner who by faith sought an eternal city constructed by God which will be her eternal home.
We may walk a desert pathway, but the end of the journey is the Garden of God.
I have fought a good fight; I have completed my course; I have kept the faith. The victory wreath is waiting for me, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge will give to me, when he comes back, And not only to me, but all those who have loved him and longed for him to come. 2 Timothy 4:7, 8
