Donald Arthur Henry

Service for Donald Arthur Henry, 93, of Cleburne, will be held at a later date in DFW National Cemetery.

Donald passed away Thursday, June 27, 2024, in Fort Worth. He was born December 9, 1930, in Elizabeth, Indiana to Charles Ivan and Hettie (Beard) Henry. Donald married Ethel Margaret Bennett on November 5, 1948, in Weatherford, Texas. He was a member of Lane Prairie Baptist Church. Donald a WWII Veteran that proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps and United States Air Force from 1945-1950. Donald owned and operated Don’s TV for 15 years. He also worked at Hill College in Cleburne for 6 years as a professor of electronics. His strong work ethic, integrity, and kindness endeared him to all who had the pleasure of working alongside him. Donald was member of Johnson County Civil Air Patrol. He enjoyed fishing and amateur radio. He received his EMTB license at 80 years of age. He truly lived his life to the fullest and never stopped learning. His wisdom, kindness, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew him. May he rest in peace knowing he made a positive impact on everyone fortunate enough to have crossed paths with him.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Zachary Griffin and wife, Maria, Michael Griffin, and Devin Marie Bauer and husband, Leo; great-grandchildren, Leo IV, Lily, Adalyn, and Brittany; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents; wife; children, Donna Marie Griffin, and Ethel “Diane” Henry; and siblings, Charles Ivan Henry, Jr., and Mary Madaline Goins.
