Donald Lathers

Services for Donald Duck Lathers, Jr., 43, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 9, 2014 in the Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel with Bro. Lynn Blair officiating. Burial will follow at the Baker Lain Cemetery. Derek Harris, Dustin Harris, Garrett Johnston, Bull Felan, Corey Webster, Gene Lathers, Sr. will serve as pallbearers. Chris Harris, Toby Webster and Chad Wilson will serve as honorary pallbearers. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Duck passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 in Cleburne. He was born to Donald Ben, Sr. and Geraldine Inez Carson Lathers on July 10, 1970 in Cleburne. He married Peggy Marie Harris on December 18, 1987 in Johnson County. Duck worked as a supervisor with Thomas Conveyor and as a truck driver for a number of years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing, camping and cooking out with friends and family. He was a jokester, always causing mischief and laughter wherever he was. His love for life and constant smile will be missed greatly by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded by a number of family members including his niece, Tiffany Stone.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Peggy Lathers; daughters, Amanda Denise Bradtmueller and her husband, Sgt. Jason Bradtmueller, and Whitney Marie Lathers; grandsons, Riley James Bradtmueller, Ryan Lane Bradtmueller, Christian Tyler Lee, and Donald Michael Ladale Lathers; parents, Donald Ben, Sr. and Geraldine Lathers; sisters, Shelly Parsons (Gene), Janey Harris (Chris), and Pamela Webster (Fred Mills); numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
