Donald Trimble

Services for Donald Bruce Trimble, 80, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Friday, June 4, 2010 in the United Presbyterian Church of Cleburne. The Rev. Jack Hunnicutt will officiate. Interment will be Monday, June 7 at 2:00 P.M. in DFW National Cemetery.

Mr. Trimble passed away Sunday, May 30, 2010 in Dallas. He was born October 31, 1929 in Redondo Beach, Calif. to Howard Jackson and Marion Tyler Trimble. He retired in 1967 as a Master Seargent from the U.S. Army, having headed the Lab Technician Training at Brooks Army Medical Center in San Antonio. He was past commander of the Knight's Templar and was a Master Mason.

Bruce was the chief lab technician for the Kimbro Clinic/ Medical Center from 1967 thru 1994. His love for the Lord showed in everything he did. He was a longtime elder, choir member and former Clerk of the Session at the Presbyterian Church of Cleburne. He was very active in his church with the youth programs, 55 Club and Men's prayer breakfast.
Bruce was a very eager volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Habitat For Humanity and the Exchange Club. He was a longtime member of the Ft. Worth Orchid Society and was known for his wonderful sense of humor.

Bruce is survived by two daughters, Deborah Martin and husband Donald of Maypearl and Doretta Conrad and husband David of Round Rock; son, David Trimble and wife Linda of Richardson; grandchildren, Cynthia Martin, PhD of Abilene, Julie Bowers and husband Jay of Farmers Branch, SPC Robert Martin and wife Laurie of Ft. Bragg, Amber Conrad and Lauren Conrad, both of Round Rock; great-grandchild, Annabelle Bowers of Farmers Branch; two brothers, David Trimble and wife Virginia; Robert Trimble and wife Jill of Calif.; sister Dora Hulin of Calif. and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Evelyn May Trimble in 2007.
