Donnie Grubbs

Celebration of Life Visitation for Don Grubbs, 71, of Grandview, will be from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 15, 2010 at Crosier Pearson Cleburne Chapel.

Mr. Grubbs passed away on Monday, April 12, 2010 in Fort Worth. He was born to William H. and Vio Matlock Grubbs on May 28, 1938 in Waurika, Oklahoma. Don worked 30 years with Bob's Window Cleaning before operating his own, Grubbs Window Cleaning for over 15 years. He served in the United States Army and was of Baptist faith. Don married Glenda Jean Cross on April 14, 1978 in Burleson. "Papa", as his grandchildren called him was known as a jokester, who enjoyed playing cards, especially poker; woodworking and fishing. Don also loved to watch old western movies. His outgoing nature and fun loving spirit will be missed greatly by all those that knew and loved him. Don was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Ronnie.

Survivors include his wife, Glenda Grubbs; children and their spouses, Tricia Wilcox and Stewart, Donna Roberts and Mike McCoy, Donnie Grubbs, Jr. and Kim Heaton, Barrie Wilson, Connie Daniels and Troy, Elizabeth Anderson and Bryan; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; siblings, Bill, Johnny, Sam, Lou, Barbara Jo, Harry, and Clara Jean; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
