Doris Marie Conway

Graveside service for Doris Marie (Mason) Conway, 101, of Weatherford, will be conducted at 1:00 P.M.,  Sunday, March 10, 2024, in Cleburne Memorial Cemetery with Chaplain Eddy Carrell officiating.

Doris passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024 in Weatherford, Texas. She was born January 1, 1923 in Cleburne to William Courtney and Marietta Huff Mason. Doris married Doyle Elvin Conway on June 29, 1941 in Fort Worth. They were married for 71 years before his passing. She worked as an LVN with 30 plus years of service. Doris loved to paint, volunteer at the nursing home, and helped run their neighborhood “coffee club.” She was a very active member of Granbury Street Church of Christ. Doris was a loving wife and mother who was often opinionated and feisty. She was always giving and helpful and loved her family very much. Doris will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Conway Lemmons; grandchildren, Don Lemmons and wife, Kathy, Gena Hunn and husband, Ron; great-grandchildren, Blake Hargrave and wife, Michelle, Steven Lemmons, Matthew Lemmons, Justin Hunn and wife, April, and Paige Saunders and husband, Andrew; great-great-grandchildren, Jacob Lemmons and Tyler Hargrave; niece, Paula Jones and husband, Tommy; and nephew, Larry Pack and wife, Debbie.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, William & Marietta Mason; husband, Doyle Conway; and sisters, Louise Tucker and Marjorie Brown.
