Services for Doris Lorea Free, 75, of Pecan Manor in Kennedale, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 22, 2007 in the New Hope Baptist Church in Freeland, Texas. Reverened D.L. Moody will officiate. Burial will be in Baker-Lain Cemetery.
Doris Lorea Free, precious mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007 in Fort Worth. She was born February 16, 1932 in Meridian, Texas to Marvin and Beulah Swaim Walton. She married James Curtis Free, Jr. on May 3, 1947 in Glen Rose.
Mrs. Free was a homemaker and a member of Pleasantview Baptist Church.
Doris Free is survived by her son, Eddie Free and wife Christy of Magnolia, TX; daughters, Verna Free of Granbury and Tammy McElvain and husband Rick of Arlington; 9 grandchildren, Lori, Angela, Timothy, Amy, Jeremy, Justin, Valerie, Julie and Kyle; 16 great-grandchildren, Rachael, Mason, Christopher, Hana, Rami, Rania, Cynthia, Andrew, Alex, Vincent, Allison, Mason, Garrett, Hayley, Madison and Emma; one great-great-grandchild, Liliana; one brother, W.E. "Shorty" Walton, of Ft. Worth; one sister, Kathy Jackson of Grandview; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by both parents; grandson, James Lopez and husband, James Curtis Free, Jr.
