Doris Patton

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Doris G. Patton, 87, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009, in North Richland Hills. She was born June 10, 1922, in San Jon, N.M., to Earl Wesley and Olive Miller Baker. She attended Canyon University in Amarillo for three years. She was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army from February 1944 through April 1946, where she received her training and became a physical therapist and continued to work in various settings until her retirement at age 70. She married Jamia Paul Patton on Sept. 30, 1948, in Cleburne; he preceded her in death Feb. 3, 1975. Mrs. Patton was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Arlington. Doris Patton will be remembered as a wonderful grandma and one who loved to make people happy
