Services for Doris J. Robertson, 64, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, July 16, 2011 in the Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Cleburne with Reverend Donald J. Earl officiating. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, July 18, 2011 in the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Friday, July 15, 2011.
Mrs. Robertson passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2011 in Fort Worth. Doris was born February 11, 1947 to Joe Davis and Ruthie Mae Washington in Buckeye, Arizona. She met Clydell in 1980, they were married in 1982, they moved to Texas in 1985.
Doris was a member of New Birth Baptist Church under leadership of Pastor Donald Earl. Doris was very active in church, she was also an usher and alot of the time she before the church doors open, would be sitting outside, waiting for the pastor to get there. Doris is loved by many, and she is and will be missed dearly.
She is preceded in death by her father Joe Davis, her mother Ruthie Mae Washington, her sister Barbara A. Evans, a grandchild Shatona Toles.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Clydell Robertson of Cleburne, Texas; two children, Denise Richard (Rodney), Annette Foster (Reggie), both of Arizona; eight step-children, Clydell Willis, David Willis, Derek Willis, Shaun Willis, Clifford Robertson, Rhonny Robertson, Forena Robertson, Tanya Holloway; eleven grandchildren, Chinqu'e, LaQuaria, Reggie Jr., Treonna, ShaQuana, Ronisha, Vanity, Tykeisha, De'Monta, Darionta and Samuel, all of Arizona; eleven siblings, Joe Davis Jr. (Dorothy), Betty Allums (David), Ruthie Clabron (Peter), Gloria Barnes (David), Sandra Washington, Kenneth Washington, LeVerne Hughey, LaVerne Hughey, Diane Hughey, Angela Revels (Jefferson) and Mary (Mya) Fiarri, all of Arizona; a host of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.
