Doris Slaton

Graveside service for Doris Slaton, 70, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, Jan. 14, 2016 in the Hopewell Cemetery. Pastor Morris Ivey will officiate.

Visitation will be from 10-11:00 A.M., Thursday, at the funeral home, prior to the service.

Doris Slaton passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016 in Cleburne. She was born Dec. 7, 1945 in Clarksville to Pat Clark and Clara Izora Bower Baker. She married Arthur Monroe Slaton on June 20, 1961 in Ft. Worth.
Mrs. Slaton was a homemaker and a check sorter for more than 7 years. She attended Sheppard’s Valley Cowboy Church.

Survivors include her husband, (Gampa) M. Slaton of Cleburne; daughter, Jamie Lynn Slaton of Cleburne; one sister, Ruthie Wooten of Manchester; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and six brothers and sisters, Buddy, Edith, Mavis, Christine, Joy and Raymond.
