Doris Wells

Doris Wells, 86, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015 in Cleburne.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Rosehill Cemetery with the Reverend John Glover officiating.

Mrs. Wells was born November 8, 1928 in Eagan, Texas to John D. Sr. and Clyde Flippin Stepp. She married James Richard Wells on June 11, 1948 in Cleburne and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2010.

Doris was a graduate of Cleburne High School and was involved in many clubs and was also a cheerleader. She was a bank associate for most of her life in Cleburne and was a member of Field Street Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the Church Choir and teaching her Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her children, Jennifer Susan Curlee and husband Steve and Prisca Wells of Cleburne; grandchildren, Kristi Dempsey and husband Tim, Phillip Lewis and wife Deanna, Courtney McPherson and husband Ted, and Eric Wells; great grandchildren, Logan Dempsey and Elise Lewis; and a host of other relatives and friends. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, John D. Jr., Marshall, Meredith and Frank Stepp.
