Dorlan "Mac" McClaugherty

Dorlan “Mac” passed away on November 7, 2024, in Grandview, Texas. He was born on November 21, 1952, in Bluefield, West Virginia. On June 15, 1974, he married Alice Denise Hitchcock in Peterstown, West Virginia. Dorlan “Mac” dedicated his career to the construction industry, starting as an electrician’s assistant working his way up to an Inspector for the City of Garland. He recently celebrated his retirement in July.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Denise (Hitchcock) McClaugherty; two daughters, Amber Dyke and her husband David, and Angela Sutherland and her husband Jimmy; grandchildren Rayne and Shayde; a sister, Belinda Hager and her husband Tim; nieces, Nicole Martin and Casey Lillis and husband Hayden; nephews, Wesley Martin, and Steven McClaugherty and his wife Sarah; a sister-in-law, Cherie McClaugherty; along with numerous great-nephews and great-nieces.

Dorlan “Mac” was preceded in death by his parents, Noah and Mabel McClaugherty; brothers, Travis Lee McClaugherty and Terah Lynn McClaugherty; and grandparents, John and Gladys “Granny” Poff.

Dorlan “Mac's” legacy of dedication to his work and love for his family will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
