Services for Dorothy Derden, 80, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2008 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Brother Bob Beeman will officiate. Interment will be at 4:00 p.m. in Forreston Cemetery, near Waxahachie, TX.
Dorothy Derden passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008 in Cleburne, TX. She was born August 19, 1927 in Fairy, TX to Olga and Della Mae Cox Duncan. She married Herman Murry Derden January 17, 1946 in Waxahachie, TX.
Mrs. Derden and her husband owned and operated the Derden Cleaners for over 12 years in Cleburne. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Dorothy Derden is survived by her two daughters, Mary Posey and husband, John of Joshua and Patsy Tiffin and husband, Don of The Colony, TX; one son, Murry Derden and wife, Tammy of Cleburne; two brothers, Fred Duncan and wife, Betty of Hico and Archie Duncan and wife, Geanie of Stephenville; five grandchildren, Robert, Johnny, Amy, Laurie and Thomas; six great-grandchildren, Jessica, Shaun, Brittany, Christopher, Austin and Johnathan; and a number of nieces and nephews.
