Dorothy Holmes

Graveside service for Dorothy Holmes, 89, of Cleburne will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016 at Greenacres Memorial Park. The Reverend Donna Ware will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 P.M., Wednesday, at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral home.
Dorothy Holmes passed away Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016 in Cleburne. She was born Oct. 11, 1927 in Geary, Okla. to Robert Lee and Eunice Mae White McKelvy.
Ms. Holmes worked as an office clerk for Williamson-Dickie, retiring with more than 30 years of service. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and a dear friend to many. She was a member of Wesley Memorial Methodist Church for more than 50 years.
Survivors include her children, Carolyn David and husband Dan of Hudson Oaks, Alvin Holmes and wife Wanda, Billy Holmes and wife Angie, and Roger Holmes and wife Rebecca, all of Cleburne; six grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Joe McKelvy and wife Britt; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents.
