Services for Dorothy Rose Killingsworth , 78, of Alvarado will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2010 in Travis Avenue Baptist Church, Fort Worth. Pastor David Falkenberg will officiate. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. in DFW National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Phil Uecker, Rick Mathews, Scott and Ryan Land and Craig and Chance Gill. Visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.

Dorothy Rose Killingsworth passed away Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010 in Cleburne. She was born Sept. 8, 1931 in Sweetwater to Oliver Burton and Maybelle Burgess Carthen.

She was a licensed vocational nurse and a member of the PraiSingers at Travis Ave. Baptist Church. She also volunteered at Huguley Hospital and Ft. Worth Crisis Pregnancy Center.

Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Glenda Uecker and husband Phil of Covington and Sandra Mathews and husband Rick of Arlington; one brother, Roy B. Carthen of Leesburg, Florida; four grandsons, Craig (Sarah) and Chance (Tracy) Gill, Scott and Ryan Land; three great-grandchildren, Linzie, Trevor, Haylee. She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Killingsworth on December 31, 2001.
