Service for Dorothy Ree McAdoo, 75, of Ft. Worth will be conducted at 12:00 Noon, Saturday, July 11, 2015 in the Sweet Home Baptist Church, 5225 Ramey Ave., Ft. Worth, TX 76105. Dr. James Brown will officiate. Interment will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 13, 2015 in DFW National Cemetery in Dallas. Pallbearers will be Anquan Warren, Earl Williams, Kevin Yancy, Climmiet Yancy, Keith Ray, and Steve Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Lee Small, Kenneth Ray, Arthur Busby, Derrick Busby, Antoine Anderson, Sr., and Derrion Hill. Visitation will be from 7-9:00 P.M. Friday, July 10, at Sweet Home Baptist Church.
Mrs. Dorothy Ree McAdoo passed away Sunday, June 28, 2015 in Ft. Worth. She was born January 18, 1940 in Karnack, TX to J.B. and Hattie Price Williams. She married the Reverend C.D. McAdoo Jr. on November 27, 1975 in Ft. Worth and he preceded her in death on May 4, 2013.
Mrs. McAdoo worked as a custodian at Tarrant County Jr. College until retiring. She was formerly a faithful and dedicated First Lady, serving alongside her husband at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Cleburne for many years and currently was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church.
Survivors include two children, Terry Lee Small and wife Vicky of Manvel and Cynthia S. Ray and husband Kenneth of Ft. Worth; nine stepchildren, Vera, Margaret, Deborah, Charlene, Charley III, Jessica, Paula, Paul, and Michael; 12 grandchildren, Terri, Arthur, Melody, Terry, Derrick, Kristal, Antoine, Stacy, Angel, Charity, Derrion and Nicole; numerous great grandchildren; two brothers, Leonard Williams and wife Ollie of Texas City and Hubert Williams of Shreveport, LA; sister, Mary Little of Ft. Worth; and her best friend, Hulene Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her parents, and seven brothers and sisters.
