Service for Dorothy F. O’Neal, 93, of Godley will be conducted at 1:30 P.M., Tuesday, June 23, 2015 in the Calvary Baptist Church. The Reverend Charles E. Payne will officiate, assisted by the Reverend Earl Sides.
Interment will be at 4:00 P.M., Tuesday, at Emerald Hills Memorial Park in Kennedale. Pallbearers will be Travis Applegate, Dale Applegate, Troy Callaway, Wayne Swan, Cory Estep, and Mike Estep.
Visitation will be from 6-7:30 P.M., Monday, at the funeral home.
Dorothy F. O’Neal passed away Friday, June 19, 2015 in Mansfield. She was born January 22, 1922 in Canton to Elbert E. and Elma Walker Deen. She married Freddie Lee O’Neal on August 29, 1992 in Godley, Texas.
Mrs. O’Neal was an administrative assistant before retiring. At various times in her life as a single mother, she maintained jobs, raised three children, and was faithful to her church. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and previously a longtime member of Rolling Hills Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Johnny Ramsey.
Survivors include her husband, Fred O’Neal of Godley; daughters, Catherine Swan of Mansfield and Glenna Crocker of North Richland Hills; four stepsons, Fredrick O’Neal and wife Jo of Godley, Tommy O’Neal and wife Ethel of Madisonville, Glenn O’Neal and wife June of Rio Vista, and Leonard O’Neal and wife Sue of Godley; seven grandchildren, Wayne Swan and wife Karen, Dorothy Applegate and husband Dale, Stacy Estep and husband Mike, Kelly McDade and husband Carl, Penny Patterson and husband Greg, Darla Vaughan, and Sarah Jannette Callaway and husband Troy; 16 great grandchildren; and six great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Carol Scholkopf; previous husband, Henry Lindeman; and brothers, Lynn and Wilson Deen.
