Dorothy Nell (Schmidt) Cavasos

Graveside service for Dorothy Nell Schmidt Cavasos, age 102, of Cleburne, will take place at 1:30 PM on Sunday, October 13, 2024, in George’s Creek Cemetery.

Dorothy passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, in Cleburne. She was born on January 29, 1922, to Paul and Alvina (Lehde) Schmidt in Cleburne. On December 25, 1945, she married Clyde Cavasos, with whom she shared many memorable years until his passing on June 29, 2007. 

Dorothy was a dedicated professional, working in sales at Herb Owens Fabric. She was a cherished member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, where she actively participated in her Sunday School class and the choir, demonstrating her love for her faith and community. Above all, Dorothy was devoted to caring for her family. She will be remembered for her warmth, love of family, and commitment to her faith and community.

Her memory is honored by her sons, Randy (Cathy) Cavasos and Danny Cavasos; her grandchildren, Christi (Lewis) Burton and Emily Cavasos; as well as her great-grandchild, Cara Burton, and three nephews.
