Services for Dorothy L. Scott, 75, of Cleburne, will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Friday, May 9, 2008 in the Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Chapel. Rev. Vernon Cook will officiate. Mrs. Scott passed away Friday, May 2, 2008 in Cleburne. She was born December 7,1932 in Caldwell to Richard and Velma Carroll McBride. She married James Alvis Scott, Jr. on December 15, 1950. Mrs. Scott was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. Dorothy L. Scott is survived by her husband of fifty-seven years, James Alvis Scott, Jr, of Cleburne; sons, James Henry Scott, Sr. (Carolyn) of Cleburne, Charles Ray Scott, Sr. (Peggy) of Fort Worth, Willie Earl Scott (Shirleen) of Cleburne and Alvis Lee Scott, Sr. (Eishia) of Arlington; daughters, Doris Jean Scott Richard and Ylonda Yvette Scott Leichman both of Cleburne; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Sam McBride of Waco and T.V McBride of Arlington; sisters, Alberta Echols of Cleburne and Eva Mae Graves of Phoenix, Arz. and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
